3 best video tutorials for drawing whimsical faces
OK, a promise is a promise. I told you the other day I'd gather some of best tutorials for drawing whimsical or artistic faces to help you find the inspiration and some theoretical knowledge about the matter. Since we have Youtube you would expect to find there anything and everything, but if you are looking for something specific you might get disappointed. You'd think there are lots and lots of tutorials about the subject and, well, there are, but sadly many of them haven't got much value. So finding a tutorial that is easy to follow and with instructions that are really helpful isn't as simple as you'd think.
Please understand that I'm sharing 3 tutorials I found on youtube and found good, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any better tutorials. Maybe there are, I just didn't find them. And there are lots of tutorials by artists who keep them only on their websites and I didn't include those.
I also wanted tutorials to be as short as possible and without too much talking, because I don't have the patience to watch anything too long. So here they are:
1. Dina Wakley - I already introduced her in my blog and if you already read a post about that, you can skip this, but I found her video really great and very useful since her instructions are simple and gave me good results.
2. Karen Duvel Campbell - This video shows a little different approach to drawing faces, but everything is explained clearly and following this video my result was just great.
3. Eleni S. shows a totally different approach to drawing faces. Her method is simple to use and faces are cute, she also paints the face with watercolors, acrylics and markers for extra bonus.
I hope you find these tutorials useful, interesting and helpful and I'd be happy to know what you think about them and see your results. Your comments are welcome below and you can share your work on my FB page.
